He dropped in at the toothpaste workshop where all the processes, ranging from raw material feeding to product completion, were fully provided. Seeing various kinds of high-quality toothpaste, he was very satisfied with the solution of the toothpaste problem which would contribute to the promotion of health of the people and soldiers.

That day he saw various kinds of high-quality toothpaste one by one and said that we should produce toothpaste with fluoride compound so as to use it for preventive treatment.

He gave officials a detailed instruction with the fatherly love to organize the work for producing more high-quality toothpaste with fluoride compound in cooperation with the medical field and other relevant fields, as the modern toothpaste production process had been provided.

After a while, he gave instructions on the ways to produce fluoride toothpaste, saying that it was not a particular thing to make toothpaste with fluoride compound and that it would be necessary to mix fluoride compound with toothpaste.

People and soldiers thought that toothpaste was a small and unimportant thing used in daily life. But it would be unthinkable without the warm love of Kim Jong Il who devoted his all to its realization.

In spite of on-the-spot guidance to various units in Jagang Province, Chairman said that people now only think of having their decayed teeth and so the measures should be taken to prevent the caries of soldiers and children when they are growing up.

In fact, at that time our people and soldiers were being supplied with toothpaste which they could appreciate as quite good. So the officials concerned thought that the problem of toothpaste had been completely solved.

But it was too shortsighted.

With the paternal love to provide the people with a hundred more, he gave the task of making fluoride toothpaste good for preventing dental diseases and acquainted himself with the issues arising in the production of fluoride toothpaste and took measures for it.
