"The maximized economy and increased production are an important principle to which we must adhere in the building of the socialist economy. All the wealth in our society has been created by the hard work of workers, peasants and other working people; it is meant for the well-being of the people."
One day several decades ago, having a report from an official that an old building in a city was planned to be demolished while rezoning a sector of the city, Chairman asked him how many materials could be recovered if the flat was demolished.
At that time the officials didn't never think about the recovery of the materials, but the building was so old that it was useless even though they recover floor slabs and material for wall and they thought it would cost a lot of work and time so they let the units in charge of the demolition of the building recover them if necessary.
The official said that it was unlikely that there would be enough materials to be recovered.
Having a shadow pass over his face, Chairman told the official how he could be like that demolishing a whole block of flat, he never thought of recovering even a piece of brick even though he was working-class origin and he knew well how much sweat our working class should devote to baking a piece of brick and producing a ton of cement.
Noticing his mistake, the official apologized to Chairman. Chairman told him he should apologize to people, not to him, and that he should let the person recover and use everything that was available in their lives like zinc iron sheets that were covered over the roof, windows with glass and faucets.
This led to the recovery of the wall blocks and bricks as well as all the reusable taps.
It was by no means small amount.
Having this report, Chairman beamed with a bright smile on his face and said if he had thrown away all the materials, he couldn't have saved his face and it would have been lucky to recover the materials.
Chairman was very pleased to see the increase of the people's wealth but enraged at an infringement on the people's wealth and never overlooked faults. For Chairman one sheet of brick and one ton of cement were the wealth of our people who were like his kith and kin.
He lived ardently all his life to further increase the wealth of the people whom he loved with his own passion and heart.
As every grass plant and tree in this country is the wealth of the people, he was more heartbroken than anyone else when he saw a bare mountain, and when a barrage was built by taming nature and a powerful station was built by damming he was very glad that the wealth of the people had increased.
Saying that he was the son of the people, he wore his simple university uniform till the sleeves were frayed in his university days and he went along the road of love for the people in one uniform and combat clothes until the last moment of his life.
He lived a simple and frugal life as he valued and loved the wealth of the people.
An apology should be made to the people.
