Close Care for Hosiery to Be Worn by the People

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"True to the noble will of President Kim Il Sung and General Kim Jong Il, who regarded ‘The people are my God' as their motto, we should regard the people as our God, boundlessly respect them, give prominence to them and conduct every undertaking with their demands and interests at the centre."

Kim Jong Un regards the people as his God and puts the demands and interests of the people at the centre of all his consideration. A typical expression of his paternal care for them is to be found in the Choljjuk-brand hosiery which are favorite among the Korean people all year round.

Kim Jong Un, who always pays close attention to improvement of the people's standard of living, made another inspection of the Pyongyang Hosiery Factory one August day in Juche 103(2014).

After acknowledging greetings of the factory managers warmly, he looked round different places of the factory, including the women's socks workshop, the men's socks workshop and the samples room, while acquainting himself with details of the production.

What he was most concerned with while giving on-site guidance at the factory was how to make products to suit the likings of the Koreans and their physical characteristics. He earnestly asked the managers to pay deep attention to designing hosiery products so as to ensure their good usage and aesthetic value and achieve higher economic profitability.

Listening to his instruction carefully, which they felt was of great importance, the managers remembered his earlier visit to their factory years before when he had asked them repeatedly to increase the quality of the hosiery to be worn by the people.

One day in July Juche 101(2012) when it was scorching hot, Kim Jong Un visited the factory. In the newly inaugurated workshop of men's socks, he tested a sock by pulling it in the opposite directions and asked the managers to solve the problem of the straight-up ribbed top. And in the finishing workshop he told them to improve the colors of the products without confining themselves to marking labels with colors and numbers alone. The socks seemed to be a petty problem, but Kim Jong Un regarded it as important and paid such close attention to the quality of the socks to be worn by the people. That was why he visited the factory again and gave detailed tasks to produce a greater amount of quality hosiery.

The factory managers, receiving his important advice on improving the quality of their products, renewed their determination to turn out different kinds of popular hosiery in greater quantities as he wanted.

Even the hosiery products which are favorite among the Korean people are associated with the warm care of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un for their better living conditions.

All the houses across the country are ringing with happy laughter and cheers for the Workers' Party of Korea and socialism. These sounds will grow more pleasing in the socialist land of the DPRK thanks to the devoted service of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un for the people.
