A sea change of greenhouse vegetable home

The Jangchon Vegetable Cooperative Farm associated with the immortal leadership of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il has been turned into a model farm, a standard farm for greenhouse vegetable farming under the grand plan and wise guidance of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"The Jangchon Vegetable Cooperative Farm has undergone a sea change. The great Comrades Kim Il Sung's and Kim Jong Il's intention to provide our farmers with a rich and cultured life has turned into reality on the land of Jangchon."

The respected comrade Kim Jong Un gave field guidance to the Jangchon Vegetable Cooperative Farm in Sadong District, Pyongyang, in June Juche 103(2014) in order to realize the desire of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il who were so concerned for providing the farmers with a rich and cultured life.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un saw to it that the Jangchon Vegetable Cooperative Farm was built into a model farm, a standard farm for greenhouse vegetables farming in our country and its experience was generalized across the country.

When he arrived at the farm, the respected General Secretary first headed for the room for education in the revolutionary history. Looking at the revolutionary relics and photographs he said that the Jangchon Vegetable Cooperative Farm is a significant place associated with the great leaders' leadership. Then looking round the room dedicated to the history of the farm, he said that the Jangchon Vegetable Cooperative Farm is the home of greenhouse vegetables and that the great leaders had the greenhouses built on the land of Jangchon to provide the citizens with fresh vegetables in all seasons and devoted much efforts to it.

He ensured that the Jangchon Vegetable Cooperative Farm, which is associated with the leadership of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il and has a history of 22 years, was built into a model farm, a standard farm for greenhouse vegetable farming.

After learning in detail about the greenhouse vegetable production in a hot greenhouse, he said that the Jangchon Vegetable Cooperative Farm should be well-built as a model farm. a standard farm for greenhouse vegetable farming in the 21st century and the people across the country should come to see it.

Being briefed on the fact that the farm had built greenhouses on tens of jongbo under the care of the Party in the past, he said that it is important to build many vegetable greenhouses but the main thing is to grow greenhouse vegetables well. And he continued that it is necessary to fully supply the seeds and thoroughly implement the Party's idea of putting importance to science in greenhouse vegetable farming in order to grow them well.

Noting that greenhouses should be designed well and all the problems necessary for turning the farm into a model one be solved, he arranged for cement, reinforcing bars, plastic sheeting, and other materials needed for the project to be supplied.

He also said that the farm should renovate the method of greenhouse vegetable cultivation and generalize its successes and experience throughout the country.

Indicating that a large number of greenhouses are being built across the country and the people should benefit from them in practice, he instructed that it is necessary to set a good greenhouse vegetable farm as a model to generalize it.

Then he added that the farm should be turned into a model, a standard farm for greenhouse vegetable farming and the successes and experience gained in greenhouse vegetable cultivation should be generalized to other units across the country.

Thanks to his grandiose plan, teachings and energetic guidance, a model of greenhouse vegetable farming has been created in the 21st century in Jangchon, where only foxtail millet and barnyard grass millet were cultivated, and the advanced method of the farm's greenhouse vegetable cultivation has been introduced to other units across the country.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un gave instructions to turn the Jangchon Vegetable Cooperative Farm into a model of socialist cultured countryside and energetically led it.

He stressed the need to turn the farm into a world-level socialist fairyland with a civilized life for the people in the city to envy, as well as just a farm that is good at greenhouse vegetable farming.

On several occasions he observed the miniature of the Jangchon area and instructed in detail that construction projects including the Hall of Culture and Jangchon Health Complex, People's Hospital(then) and sci-tech learning space, dwelling houses, nurseries and kindergartens should be built in accordance with the aspirations and convenience of the people, ideological and artistic value, practicality and world standards. And he also took measures to supply materials necessary for the construction and led all construction projects to be completed at the highest level, including painting the walls of the building of the People's Hospital green, instead of orange which was planned to paint, in accordance with international standards.

On June 29, Juche 104(2015), the respected General Secretary visited the farm again. Taking a view of the Jangchon area, which was born again as a farm city in a year, he said with delight that the public buildings and dwelling houses including the Jangchon Health Complex and the Hall of Culture are really wonderful and that the Jangchon Vegetable Cooperative Farm has undergone a sea change and it looks like a picture.

That day he looked round the greenhouses and the Hall of Culture, sci-tech learning space and Jangchon Health Complex, dwelling houses and other places with pleasure and said that everything should have a standard, and that the Jangchon Vegetable Cooperative Farm is a model and a standard.

He also stressed the need to show the officials concerned the farm, which has undergone a radical change, so that they can clearly understand what is the model of the socialist cultured countryside desired by the Party and should wage a dynamic struggle to turn all the countryside into a socialist fairyland appropriate to the appearance of a civilized state.

Indeed, a sea change in Jangchon area, the home of greenhouse vegetables in our country, is a result of the benevolent love and wise leadership of the respected General Secretary who devotes himself to providing the people with the happiest and most civilized life in the world as early as possible.
