Benefits Of Chicken Production Taught In Person

President Kim Il Sung, who regarded "The people are my God" as his lifelong view and the noblest political idea and was possessed of love for the people at the noblest level, was the benevolent father of the people.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"Comrade Kim Il Sung's was a noble life of a people's leader, who regarded ‘The people are my God' as his motto, applied it to his ideas and leadership and turned it into reality."

In the whole period of his revolutionary leadership, the President made great efforts to solve the food problem of the people, giving the improvement of the people's standard of living the first consideration in all his work.

How much effort he made to supply more meat eggs to the people is well evidenced by his detailed instructions on the benefits of chicken production.

At the National Meeting of Poultry Workers in March Juche 59 (1970), the President reviewed the great successes made in the development of poultry farming in the past.

There he clarified the reasons why our Party put great efforts into the development of livestock farming, in particular poultry farming.

Our Party has directed great efforts to poultry farming because it is advantageous to run chicken farms in many ways than to run other farms. Chickens grow faster and feed less than pigs and other domestic animals. Chickens are relatively easy to raise and can be raised intensively, so they can produce many eggs and chickens with less labor. In addition, chicken is better to eat than pork and is good for people's health. As the trend of the development of world livestock farming shows, many countries have developed poultry farming to produce chicken and eggs in large quantities.

Like this, the President took into account such factors and directed great efforts to development of poultry farming in our country.

Thanks to his wise guidance the modern chicken farms have been built on a large scale in all parts of the country and chickens have been raised in large numbers in all rural households, thus making remarkable successes in the improvement of our people's diet.

Indeed, the President was the genuine leader and the benevolent father of the people, who always worked heart and soul to provide the people with a better life, giving top priority to the people's interest over all matters.
