The Party has decisively defended the people's sovereignty and right to existence, smashing unprecedented sanctions, pressure and aggressive moves of the imperialists against the DPRK at every step.
It has dynamically guided the struggle to build the strongest national defence capability, based on the immutable truth that the destiny of the people can be defended by the strong military might. In those days, the Party worked such a miracle as the accomplishment of the great cause for completing the state nuclear forces in a few years, which would have been impossible to accomplish even in 20 or 30 years. The DPRK has rapidly risen to the position of a world-class military power under the leadership of the Party, and the era when big powers tried to bargain the interests of the DPRK arbitrarily was put to an end forever.
The WPK has thoroughly protected the safety of the people from the worst natural disasters, given top priority to their dignity and interests and regarded them as absolute from the viewpoint that people are the mainstay of the country.
