One day in October, 2019, the respected General Secretary visited the construction site of the Jungphyong Greenhouse Farm.
The construction of the Jungphyong Greenhouse Farm is the construction of the first large-scale greenhouse farm in our country to solve the problem of vegetables in North Hamgyong Province, which plays an important role in the economic development of the country.
He said that the construction of the Jungphyong Greenhouse Farm was a revolution and it would serve as a model in the construction of the greenhouse, adding that the modern greenhouse farm should be built in all provinces one by one to supply all kinds of fresh vegetables to our people irrespective of season change.
He saw to it that the People's Army had a full responsibility of the large-scale greenhouse farm construction and finished it as quickly as possible, heartedly emphasizing the need to ensure both the speed and quality of construction as it was the farm in which our Party had decided to invest everything without sparing anything for the local people of North Hamgyong province.
Thanks to the ardent love of the respected General Secretary for the people, an important military base there was withdrawn first and then Jungphyong Greenhouse Farm, a large-scale greenhouse farm for the people, was successfully built in North Hamgyong Province, the northernmost part of the country in a short period of time of less than one year and a half.
On the basis of the successes made in the construction of the Jungphyong Greenhouse Farm, the Ryonpho greenhouse farm was built in South Hamgyong Province on October 10, 2022, followed by the Kangdong Combined Greenhouse Farm on March 15, 2024, fully demonstrating the absolute advantages and inexhaustible vitality of our style creation.
At the 10th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea held in June, 2024, the respected General Secretary clarified the need to make foresighted preparations for building a large-scale greenhouse farm in the Thaekam area next year.
The construction sector is making greater efforts than ever in carrying out gigantic scale of construction work such as the construction of 50 000 dwelling houses in Pyongyang city, construction of rural dwelling houses on a nationwide scale and struggle to accomplish the "Regional Development 20*10 Policy".
Unfolding the far-reaching plan for vigorously pushing forward the construction of a large-scale greenhouse farm under these circumstances is a patriotic decision to be made only by the respected General Secretary who devotes his all, despite all the pains, to the work for the people.
