The Story of his Return Visit

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"Comrade Kim Il Sung's was a noble life of a people's leader, who regarded ‘The people are my God' as his motto, applied it to his ideas and leadership and turned it into reality."

It was the lifelong wish of the fatherly leader to provide more sufficient food and better living condition for the people.

Even the farmers who had lived on farming sometimes were not so busy in all seasons, but President Kim Il Sung personally guided the farming in the country and walked along the rugged field path without rest all his life.

His field guidance path, full of dedication to the agricultural development of the country led to the snowy winter months.

It was January, 1963.

At that time, the President was in North Hwanghae Province according to the decision taken by the Political Committee of the Party Central Committee to take a holiday for some time. Although he was on holiday, he continued to work without sparing himself. One day he visited Tang Hyon-ri (then) in Sohung County, forcing his way through deep snow that fell all night.

That day, when he met a foreman there to inquire the situation of the farm and the living condition of the locals, he learned that they didn't even see the white rice because there was no paddy field in the area. The insufficient living condition made him really worried, so he stood on the cold windy road for a long time and managed to get on the car after repeated request of the officials. When the farmers were told that the President had visited their place, they were overjoyed by the news and stayed up all night. But President Kim Il Sung couldn't get to sleep, worrying about their living condition.

An official told him that it had gone midnight, but President Kim Il Sung suggested going back to the farm and discussing measures for improving their living condition even if he postponed other things the next day, and continued that he intended to take a rest for a few days according to the decision of the Political Committee and a few days to rest, but he said how he could take a rest without worries when he saw that the living standard of the farmers in mountainous areas had not come up to the standard.

So, the next day, he revisited Tang Hyon-ri, sat together with officials and discussed the ways how the farm would live a wealthy life for a long time.

Indeed, President Kim Il Sung recorded many exploits of devotion all over the country all his life to provide the people with sufficient living condition.
