 2024.2.12.

The Third Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, held on June 17, Juche 110 (2021) in the presence of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un discussed the issue of improving the Party's policy on childcare as the sixth agenda item.

The respected General Secretary said in his speech at the plenary meeting that there is no revolutionary work more important than growing healthy the children, the future of our country and that it is the most important policy and ultimate desire of our Party and state to provide better conditions for childcare even at vast expense.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"They should show close concern for orphans' primary and secondary schools, baby homes, orphanages and rest homes so that the orphans and the elderly with no one to look after them can live free from worries under the care of the state."

The respected General Secretary said that it should be the mode of advance and development of the Korean revolution to devote more sincerity to the younger generation and make a stubborn advance toward the future of communism by dint of their love, adding that if the children born on this land, the rising generations, grow healthy in good diet from their childhood, they will be filled with vigor and vitality more vibrant in our society and the national power of the DPRK will grow stronger in the next 20 and 30 years.

The respected General Secretary said that the period of nursery and kindergarten is the most important age in the growth and development of children, stressing the need to establish the policy of the Party to supply nutritious foodstuffs including dairy products to children across the country at the state expense, and set forth concrete tasks and ways for implementing them.

Accepting what he was saying, all the people across the country, not only the participants in the plenary meeting, were moved to tears in the gratitude at our Party.

The respected General Secretary, who made it the most important policy of the Party and the state to supply nutritious foods, including dairy products, to children across the country at the state expense at the most difficult and arduous time and to provide them with improved conditions for their upbringing, was reminded of the benevolent President Kim Il Sung, who took steps to take care of the war orphans during the Fatherland Liberation War and to enforce the universal free medical care system, and also of Chairman Kim Jong Il, who showed his concern for the regular supply of nutritious food to the children even during the Arduous March.

There was no more important work than to bring up the children, the future of our country, for the respected General Secretary, just like President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il, who treated the children as kings of our country and gave them all sorts of love and care, and he has regarded it the first agenda and the foremost task to do so on the road of the arduous revolution.

That is why the respected General Secretary said in his speech at the Third Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea that all officials should pay special attention to good diets for nursery and kindergarten children with their parental affection and substantially contribute to the implementation of the Party's policy on childcare, thus verifying their loyalty to the Party and the revolution, the country and the people.

It is the firm will of the Party Central Committee to provide the best people and children of the world with a better future and a stable and happy life free from any worries by taking full responsibility for the life and livelihood of the people and vigorously advancing toward a new victory of socialism, no matter how severe the difficulties may be.

Thanks to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, the fatherly leader of all the people and their children of the country, the future of the country is bright, and our children will grow healthy as precious treasures of the country and buds of the future, despite any catastrophes.
