Immortal Slogan Symbolizing Socialist Korea

A slogan resounds vigorously everywhere in Juche Korea, giving the vivid picture of socialist Korea and most clearly intensifying collectivism, the life of socialism. That's "One for all and all for one!".

The slogan "One for all and all for one!" as a synonym for Korean-style socialism embodying the fundamental principles of the existence and development of socialism is the revolutionary one reflecting the demand and aspirations of the Korean people and a very good one to be held high generation after generation.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"In all fields of social life we should sustain the original features and grand appearance of our society which is advancing on the strength of people helping one another and leading one another forward and through a concerted effort."

Once the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said meaningfully about the slogan "One for all and all for one!".

He said that this slogan was a very good one which had been made when the workers of Kangson were trying their best to uphold the President Kim Il Sung with steel, holding the torch of the Chollima Work-team Movement kindled by the president. He added that though the slogan was made long ago, it met the requirements of the present era and that the slogan should be continuously upheld in order to root out individualism and instill collectivist spirit to go to communist society.

The significant teachings of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un were kept in the hearts of the people that the slogan is a fighting slogan to be held high in socialist Korea with collectivism as its intrinsic nature.

"One for all and all for one!" was the slogan loved by President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il all their lives and today it is the slogan of revolution upheld by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

The strength of slogans is very powerful in the revolution. It is because the slogan, although it is not long in length, has infinite attraction and vitality that touch the heartstrings of the people. For this reason, in the social movement, a powerful slogan serves as a driving force for bringing about a leap forward in the revolution and construction by arousing the people vigorously.

President Kim Il Sung, who founded the man-centred Juche idea and loved the people most and loved socialism and communism, put forward the slogan "One for all and all for one!" as the eternal symbol and eternal spirit of socialist Korea.

The Chollima riders, whom the President called the vanguard of the great Chollima upsurge movement, had neither the pleasure of their own individuals nor the fame of their own individuals, but they always thought of the interests of the collective and the whole. It was the noble patriotism and communist morality that dominated their work and life.

The slogan "One for all and all for one!" is the one which was created and loved by the first generations of socialist Korea and it has invariably encouraged and led the Korean people as a red flag throughout all years of the Korean revolution.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said that we should not regard this slogan as the one in the Chollima era, and taught everyone to live and struggle in this spirit.

This slogan is the one of truth which clarifies the essential difference between socialism and capitalism comparing it with "one" and "all".

The viewpoint and attitude towards "one" and "all" are the touchstone that distinguishes the character and nature of the two systems, socialism and capitalism.

Capitalism deepens the antagonism between a handful minority and an overwhelming majority as wealth increases, but in socialism, the spirit of uniting with each other is getting stronger as it becomes difficult. The capitalists instinctively refuse to serve for others and unite with each other because they pursue egoistic values, thus distrusting and antagonizing the word "people". But the people, by nature, aspire after purity, beauty, affection, obligation, harmony and unity and for this reason they hate capitalism and ardently love socialism.

The criterion of an excellent nation and a powerful state is determined not by the size of its territory or wealth but by the ideological outlook, unity level and noble moral traits of its people. Socialism is so great because it has a moral basis for training all people to be noble and beautiful and rallying society into a harmonious and united collective.

The slogan "One for all and all for one!" is an immortal slogan with tremendous vitality and attraction that runs through the whole history of the Korean revolution.

The process of socialist construction is the process of remolding people and training them to be true masters of socialist society. "One for all" means that all the people devote themselves to the leader, the party and the masses, while "all for one" means that society and the collective help and lead the backward and difficult people.

In retrospect, the history of socialist construction in DPRK was proud days when epoch-making changes were made, helping and leading each other forward, rallied close around the Party under the collectivist slogan "One for all and all for one!".

The slogan, which came into being in the historic period of the establishment of the socialist system in DPRK, brought about a great change in the ideological and spiritual sphere and also in the fighting spirit and style of the Korean people, griping the hearts of the masses as it reflects the intrinsic requirements of socialism. All members of society made collective innovations while making joint efforts with one desire. Through the education and assistance of the collective, the passive and backward people of pervious days became active and advanced ones to be new communists. Upholding this slogan, the flames of the Chollima Movement erupted, creating a historic miracle of carrying out the industrialization in a brief period of 14 years which others did for centuries, and the DPRK turned into a socialist industrial state.

The social traits of "one for all and all for one" have been carried forward in succession, ushering in a great heyday in the era of the Workers' Party of Korea by waging the speed campaign and firmly defending socialism and making a vigorous campaign for building a thriving nation during the arduous march.

In response to the ardent appeal of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who cares the people more than anybody else, the combatants of the divisions of Party members in the capital city turned out in the restoration to repair the typhoon damage in North and South Hamgyong provinces in September, 2020 and young people of the Paektusan Hero Youth Shock Brigade volunteered to take part in the restoration to repair the flood damage in North Phyongan Province in July, 2024. These things could be only happened in socialist Korea where the communist virtues and traits of helping those who are sick are warmly cared for, those who are uncomfortable are assisted, and those who are in difficulty are helped without prejudice are prevailing.

Even though the years and generations have changed several times and the Korean revolution has reached a higher stage of development, this slogan inspires all the people to a new struggle and feats with eternal vitality.

Holding higher the slogan "One for all and all for one!", the people in DPRK will demonstrate to the world the dignity and power of the great socialist Korea by pooling their will, feelings, wisdom and enthusiasm.
