As a Center for Disseminating Science and Technology and as a Grand Palace of Learning for All People

In the present time, when all the people are vigorously conducting the general offensive for building a powerful socialist country, the Sci-Tech Complex is fully displaying its advantages and vitality as the main base for the dissemination of science and technology and as a grand palace of learning for all people.

Whenever we have access to and learn from the latest sci-tech literature to our hearts' content at the Sci-Tech Complex, we recollect once again with deep emotion the wise leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, who saw to it that the Sci-Tech Complex was built into a center for disseminating science and technology and a grand palace of learning for making all people well-versed in science and technology.

The Sci-Tech Complex soared magnificently demonstrating to the world the determination and will of the Workers' Party of Korea to consolidate the foundation of a powerful socialist country with science and technology and accelerate the building of a prosperous country by dint of science and technology thanks to the wise leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, who had pondered over and over amidst the fully-occupied schedule of long and rugged field guidance to raise the country's science and technology to the world level and train people to be riders of science and technology steeds.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"The Sci-tech Complex is worthy of being a national treasure. It is a sci-tech diffusion centre and a hub of learning to be handed down to posterity."

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un personally chose the site and gave meticulous guidance to its layout and blueprint although he was heavily engaged taking the helm in the struggle for building a powerful socialist country while giving continuous field guidance.

In February 2015, he gave field guidance to the construction site of the Sci-Tech Complex again and said that the Sci-Tech Complex should be wonderfully built as a world-class edifice which crystallizes our Party's idea of attaching importance to science and technology and is impeccable in its architectural beauty and practicality, and a dear house where all the people visit and acquire science and technology. Thanks to the wise leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, who gave precious instructions on the project and solved all the knotty problems, the Sci-Tech Complex, the grand palace of all-people learning could be completed.

The Sci-Tech Complex was built in our country in spite of the shortage of manpower, funds and materials.

It was built in the circumstances where the situation of the country was very difficult and everything was in short supply due to the imperialists' extreme moves to isolate, stifle, and impose sanctions on the country. It is the edifice of learning built under the warm solicitude of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un to make all people masters of science and technology, regarding science and technology as the lifeline even though there were so many other construction projects to be carried out and huge work to be done.

On 27 October 2015, looking at the Sci-Tech Complex, which was nearing completion, with pleasure and satisfaction, he said that anyone should acquire science and technology in order to advance the revolution and go to the future, and to do that one should come to the Sci-Tech Complex. He added in a strong emotion that the Sci-Tech Complex is like a ticket office where tickets for the train to the bright future are sold. It was the noble image of a genuine leader of people sure of victory of the cause of building a powerful socialist country and resembled the noble image of the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung and the great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il, who were so pleased at the completion of the Grand People's Study House.

Everyone was moved to tears.

The grand palace of learning for people that cannot be thought of in other countries can only be a reality in the people-centred socialist society of our style, where everything serves people regarding them as heaven, and where people lead genuine lives as masters of the state and society.

On 1 January 2016, the Korean people broke into enthusiastic cheers of "hurrah" expressing boundless thanks to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, who he saw to it that the inauguration ceremony of the Sci-Tech Complex was held with splendor on the occasion of the New Year and cut the tape of completion in person.

Indeed, the WPK's policy of making all people well-versed in science and technology will be thoroughly implemented and the cause of building a powerful socialist country is invincible as long as we are led by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, who is devoting himself to people, heading the Korean revolution and we have such a center for disseminating science and technology and the grand palace of learning as the Sci-Tech Complex.
