Ardent Love that Touched the Whole World to the Heart

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said :

"Comrade Kim Jong Il ensured that the Workers' Party of Korea developed into a genuine motherly party that takes care of the destiny of the masses on its responsibility, administered comprehensive benevolent and all-embracing politics based on affection for and trust in them, and thus formed inseparable ties of kinship with them."

Here is a story still told about warm love of Chairman Kim Jong Il to this day like a legend.

"Rodong Sinmun" on Sept. 7, Juche 67 (1978) carried a report saying that the relevant organizations of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea took a generous step to return Japanese fishing boat "Kohukumaru", which had been caught after it had made an illegal intrusion into the territorial waters of the DPRK.

Humanitarian measures of the DPRK to return the Japanese fisherboat took the world by surprise. The world people could hardly believe their ears. Japanese fishing boats' illegal intrusion into the DPRK had happened several times before, and each time the DPRK showed tolerance in view of the stabilization of livelihood of the poorly-equipped Japanese fishermen. However, Japan importuned the DPRK to allow its ships to catch swellfish within the military demarcation line of the DPRK. Although they thought of catching globefish in the territorial waters of the DPRK, they never thought about security of the country.

It was needless to say that not only guilty Japan but also the world's media were reporting that "there is very little hope for Japan, which was the hostile country to the DPRK, to expect generous disposal of the ship by DPRK."

Contrary to such an expectation, however, the DPRK announced that Japanese fishing vessel would be released; no words could be found to express the surprise. But it was not the only thing that took the world by further surprise. Instead of being punished, all the Japanese fishermen underwent medical examination during their stay in the DPRK, and were healed of stomach disorder which had not been cured in Japan for years, and even had a set of false teeth put in.

It was not all. Those days that the Japanese fishermen spent in the DPRK were like a dream. They could not even imagine that they would receive such hospitality despite the crimes they committed. They did not know where and how the ray of warm love was thrown on them until then.

It was on the day of their return to Japan that the Japanese fishermen learned that it was none other than Chairman Kim Jong Il, who warmly embraced them in his arms.

That day Japanese fishermen arrived at the pier and were surprised to see that their fishing boat had been cleanly repaired like a new one and the hold of their ship had been full of swellfish. They were so happy and so sorry, but they did not know the reason. Then they were told by the DPRK officials that Chairman Kim Jong Il said to let them return home with the hold full of swellfish.

After he heard the report that Japanese fisherboat was caught again, Chairman Kim Jong Il inquired in detail about it. He learned that the Japanese fishermen had bought a fishing boat for 50 million yen of Japanese money, but had paid only 40 million yen because they had been short of money. Chairman Kim Jong Il ardently said that it was wrong for the Japanese fishermen to have intruded into and fished in the territorial waters of the DPRK but that they would be treated warmly if they admitted their mistakes and made sincere apology. He had paused for a while thinking about the Japanese fishermen, who had always lived worrying about themselves in the capitalist world where the law of jungle governs, and instructed the officials to repair their ship like a new one and fill its hold with globefish when they return home.

It was not until the Japanese fishermen listened to the stories told by the DPRK officials that they realized that the fascinating days they had enjoyed in socialist Korea were the results of loving measures taken by Chairman Kim Jong Il, whom all the Korean people praised. Their hearts were filled with gratitude for the incarnation of love and all-embracing politics unprecedented in the world. They continued to stand on the deck and cry out "Long Live Comrade Kim Jong Il!" at the top of their voices until the coast of the DPRK got invisible.

The story of dreamlike love bestowed on the Japanese fishermen was broadcast over the universe by radio waves. Famous media of world as well as of Japan gave front page prominence to this story.

Indeed, love of Chairman Kim Jong Il was the hottest and the most ardent one that could never be measured in its depth and breadth in the world. Therefore, once anyone is received by Chairman Kim Jong Il, he is sure to speak out his mind saying that his whole soul is so captivated by Chairman Kim Jong Il in a moment that he entrusts not only his destiny but also his future to Chairman Kim Jong Il. Herein lies the outstanding personal magnetism of Chairman Kim Jong Il who fascinated the world people boundlessly with his great force of traction.

That is why even the politicians of hostile countries recognized and admired the boundless magnanimity and broad generosity of Chairman Kim Jong Il.

The entire world was fascinated by the ardent love of Chairman Kim Jong Il, who transcended ideology and social system, religious belief and political view. The fascination of the century, which comes from the incarnation of love is the eruption of humankind's hearts that do not cool down permanently.
