Our people, whenever looking at the bustling socialist cooperative fields, feel an irresistible yearning for the fatherly Leader who was concerned for the agricultural development of the country.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:
"The life of the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung was a noble life of a people's leader, who regarded, as his motto, applied it to his ideas and leadership and turned it into reality."
The great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung summoned some agricultural scientists to his house one day in May Juche 53 (1964). On entering the garden of the house where the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung was waiting for them, all of them were caught by surprise, for the garden in their sight was totally different from their imagination that it would be full of ornamental trees and beautiful flowers. Instead the garden looked like an experimental farm.
The scientists were deeply touched to see the experimental plots with signposts in an orderly manner, and the fresh grain crops, vegetables, feed crops and others, for the neat and tidy plots clearly demonstrated the boundless devotion and efforts of the President who was always concerned for the development of the country's agriculture.
On the experimental plots for wheat and barley the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung told them that in order to solve the problem of food in our country with limited arable land it was essential to introduce double cropping by planting wheat and barley, for which priority was to resolve the issue of species and gave them detailed instructions about the methods and directions of cultivating and researching the species of wheat and barley.
The agricultural scientists were deeply moved to tears by the great leader who was making such great painstaking efforts for the country's agricultural development of the in the country.
There was another touching story which they had not known. There had been a small pond in the garden, and it was also turned into a test field.
On a spring day of a certain year, the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung came to the garden with the seedlings of crops, a new species, in his hands to look for a place to plant them, but there was no spare space.
The great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung pointed to the small pond in the garden and asked the officials to fill it up with earth and plant the crops there. When they earnestly asked him to leave it there, he told them that he did not need any place to rest because going among the people was a rest for him and saw to it that the pond was filled and new crops were planted there.
Then he observed the growth process of the crops.
It was the great Leader who turned the garden of the house into an experimental field and cultivated crops to set an example of a new farming method.
That's why all the people across the country are devoting their patriotic devotion to bring about a golden autumn with the increasingly earnest feeling of yearning for the President.
