Chairman Kim Jong Il's Achievements in Building and Leading the Juche-Oriented Party

The Korean people are extending the greatest glory and warmest thanks to Chairman Kim Jong Il for his remarkable achievements in accomplishing the cause of building the Juche-oriented Party.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"General Kim Jong Il developed our Party into a revolutionary party in which the leader's ideological and leadership systems are firmly established, into a motherly party which has formed a harmonious whole with the masses of the people and serves them, and into an invincible party with iron discipline and fighting efficiency, and he demonstrated the dignity and might of Kim Il Sung's Korea to the whole world; these constitute his most distinguished achievements, and they should be brilliantly etched in the annals of our Party."

The achievements of Chairman Kim Jong Il in building and guiding the Juche-oriented Party are the eternal foundation for existence and development of the WPK.

First of all, he strengthened and developed the WPK into the revolutionary party with firm establishment of the leader's ideological and leadership system.

His lifelong task was to consolidate the WPK as President Kim Il Sung's Party for eternity.

He formulated the principal line of the Party work from the viewpoint of a leader-centered theory and provided the guideline for building the WPK as the Party of the President Kim Il Sung both in name and reality.

Entirely thanks to him, the revolutionary idea of the President was formalized as Kimilsungism and modeling the whole of society on Kimilsungism was proclaimed the supreme program of the WPK, thus was established the revolutionary work system in which the Party building and its activities were conducted as intended and desired by the President. In the course of this, the WPK was strengthened into the invincible revolutionary party implemented with ideological and leadership system of the leader and all the Party members were trained to be the strong in ideology and faith who think and act only in line with the ideas and intentions of the leader. There lies one of his immortal achievements in the Party building history of the WPK.

Secondly, he advanced the WPK to be a motherly party which forms a harmonious whole with the masses and serves them.

He defined the revolution itself as love for and trust in the people and applied this idea in the Party building and activities, thus opening up a great path of building the motherly Party.

The people are the root and base of the Party and so the solidity and invincibility of the WPK can hardly be thinkable without the support and trust from the masses. It was his noble intention that the Party should be responsible for the destiny of the masses and lead them, thus becoming their genuine mother. Always treading long thorny paths for the people whether he was delighted or tired, he made sure that even the plain words from the ordinary people were to be embodied in his policy and whenever something new is created, he first asked if people liked it.

He saw to it that all the Party organizations and officials served the people devotedly with a right attitude towards them and the people-oriented policies of the party and the state invariably enforced even during the hard times of Arduous March and forced march. Such touching stories illustrate his ardent love for the people. Fluttering vigorously for decades with the destiny and future of the people, the red flag of the WPK conveys the noble revolutionary life of the great leader who always found himself among the masses, devoting all his efforts to the people as a servant of the people.

Thirdly, Chairman Kim Jong Il strengthened our Party into an invincible party with iron discipline and fighting efficiency.

During his career of revolutionary leadership, he ensured that the Party work system and methods had improved constantly, and therefore led fame to the WPK as a revolutionary Party and a struggling Party with a strong sense of organization and discipline that has never failed to carry out its resolutions. Thanks to his seasoned leadership, the WPK could steadily intensify the political and policy-oriented guidance on the revolution and construction by surmounting the outdated conventional methods completely and applying the Juche-oriented leading principles and methods to the Party building and its activities. Today, Party's decision and instructions are sent from the Party Central to the grass-roots organizations without fail and the iron system of discipline and orders is developed whereby the whole Party moves as a single entity under the monolithic leadership of the Party. And this is the real image of the WPK provided by Chairman.

The revolutionary system, order and strict discipline within the Party serve as the basis for the successful performance of its leadership function and role of the WPK. The whole Party now formed the habit of accepting the Party's lines and policies unconditionally and implementing them thoroughly, and of reporting all arising problems to the Party Central and dealing with them in accordance with its instructions. With its strong organizing ability and fighting efficiency, the WPK has been able to carry out its duty of leadership as the General Staff of the revolution successfully, vigorously overcoming all the challenges of history.

The WPK continues to carry out all the work of Party building and its activities as indicated by the great leader. The modelling of the whole society on Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism－the supreme programme of the WPK in the new era of the Juche revolution succeeded and developed the great leader's programme of modelling of the whole society on Kimilsungism onto a new higher stage, and so did the systems and methods of Party work.

Thanks to the precious achievements and tradition he cherished during his decades of leading the Party, the WPK is still carrying on the road of victory, braving the fierce tempest of history dauntlessly. It is the immutable truth proved by history and the reality that the major guarantee for grandeur of the WPK as the guiding force for popular masses' cause of independence and as the seasoned and powerful General Staff of the revolution, lies in glorifying the Party building ideology and achievements of Chairman.
