A story of the mineral water of Mt. Ryongak

 2022.11.3.

Chairman Kim Jong Il said:

"The glorious and ennobling life of Comrade Kim Jong Il was that of a great revolutionary who, upholding the red flag of the revolution, blazed a trail with his iron will and super-human energy, and that of a peerless patriot who devoted his all to his country and his people."

Mt. Ryongak, which has been known as Mt. Kumgang of Pyongyang for its beautiful scenery from olden times, is now famous for the world-famous drinking water of good quality.

Chairman Kim Jong Il, upon the report that a rich source of good-quality mineral water had been found in Mt. Ryongak area, let a mineral water factory be built there near the city centre. He paid deep attention to and took concrete measures for the equipment, materials needed for the construction of the factory and even the transport and containers.

Having worked heart and soul for the promotion of people's health despite all difficulties and shortages, he visited the newly-built Ryongaksan Mineral Water Factory on January 20, Juche 100 (2011).

He acquainted himself in detail with the process of water filtration and ozone disinfection, the process of washing and filling the tub and the quality and analysis in front of the flowchart.

Then he asked about the daily production of the mineral water, and said with great satisfaction that the comparative analysis of Ryongaksan mineral water and world-famous mineral water showed that the former did not contain selenium and fluoride good for human health, whereas the latter contained plenty of them.

At the mineral water injector, Chairman Kim Jong Il was looking at the water bottles flowing along the automated line with satisfaction when he took one of them and said in a low voice that he had not tasted such water yet.

He then asked to have a taste of it, which was astonishing to the accompanying officials because he'd visited the factory despite the extreme cold to the marrow of his bones and even wanted to taste the freezing mineral water.

He took a cup of it and appreciated that the water just injected to the bottle tasted good.

He was so satisfied to see that the macrobiotic water of Mt. Ryongak, which had been flowing evanescently, became a wealth of the people that he personally had a taste of it.

The officials concerned were impressed by his strong desire to supply adequately the mineral water to Pyongyang citizens.

He gave detailed instructions on the issues of the capacity of the water bottles, raw materials for their production and the management of the factory before he left the factory.

People should always remember that the love of the great father permeated every drop of the mineral water they enjoy in their everyday life.
