Out of many anecdotes made by our mother Party, which embraces all the destiny of people under any situations, we look back on a legendary story in which a girl drifting on a piece of ice to the far-away sea was miraculously rescued some decades ago.

One day in February, Juche 64(1975) there happened a misfortune that a fisherwoman was reported missing in the West Sea of Korea.
The thing is she didn't notice the coming tide while being focused on picking up seashells, forgetting the passage of time, and found herself surrounded by seawater, had no other choice but to get on the floating ice piece and began to drift away.
All the villagers turned out to look for her without success. It was impossible to ride a boat because of floating ice pieces all across the sea, and it was too dark to notice anything.
At the very moment, when innumerable people were anxiously calling out her name on the shore, it was reported to Chairman.
When he got the news, Chairman immediately rang up an official in the army.
Chairman informed him the entire situation and ordered him to fly a rescue helicopter.
He also took an emergency measure that the soldiers near the harbor look for her and even dispatched central Party officials to the spot.
Therefore, there launched a rescue operation to find an ordinary fisherwoman in the sky, sea and on the shore. Searchlights crossed the seawater, helicopters flew low over the sea, and radio wave reporting the search result filled the air.
But unfortunately it was not easy to find her in the vast expanse of seawater. By the time it was dawning many people were so disappointed that they even thought it was impossible to find her.
Informed of the situation, Chairman, in a determined manner, said that she should be rescued at any cost whatever might cost.
All the rescue workers, impressed by his ardent love, got down to work once again.
Chairman's unwavering attitude and will worked a miracle; at last a helicopter spotted a black spot on a piece of ice drifting on the rough seawater far off the coast after a long rescue work. That black spot which kept coming in and out of sight was none other than the girl who was anxiously being sought after by all. The girl was rescued.
There is a saying; One instance shows all the rest. This legendary story eloquently shows us how ardent the love of our Party for people is, the great mother Party which values people most and spares nothing for them.
