Moving into a New Home

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"In recent years, our State has launched gigantic construction projects in a bold manner. This is not because there is a surplus of funds in the country's coffers; these projects are aimed at providing our people, who are the best in the world, with better conditions for leading a happy, cultured life."

Everyone has a dream to live a happy life, but this is not realized in all societies. This dream can only come true in a people's country, where the state serves its people offering them increasingly happy living.

House moving is a catchword across the DPRK. Nobody in other parts of the world can imagine the fact that new dwelling houses have been provided free of charge by the State in this country.

Spectacular new streets and avenues, new towns and cities are springing up across the country year by year, creating their new addresses and place names all year round amid the festive house moving by excited new occupants. It is a picture you can see anywhere across the DPRK.

While "getting a new house" is a dream hard to realize in other countries, it's a commonplace in the DPRK. Wonderful new-built homes excite new dwellers, from the beautiful avenues springing up in the capital city of Pyongyang to the small villages in the remote mountains and fishing ports.

The housing is an issue that people are most concerned with in their lives-a matter whose solution depends on the social system concerned. "Material prosperity" is a buzzword under capitalism where one percent of the population indulges in luxury and depravity, while the homeless find themselves on the street, insulted and humiliated as "cancer of the city" by the rich.

When the tearful sighs of hopelessness for their own homes are audible from all over the world, cheerful voices are being heard every day in this country that this is best house of mine provided by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un. Thanks to his dedication to provide all people with wonderful dwelling houses, the happiness and ideal of the Korean people are growing stronger and higher with each passing day despite the difficult ordeals and difficulties.

In the recent decade alone, people happiness and ambition has grown as high as the height of the recently built skyscrapers, ranging from Changjon and Mirae Scientists Streets to 70-storey and 80-storey tower building in Ryomyong, Songhwa and Jonwi Streets; their contentment has reached as wide as Hwasong and Rimhung Avenues.

The DPRK's media are now busy carrying daily news about series of the nation-wide jamborees of moving newly-built houses-architecturally superb, diverse and culturally highly refined – landscaped with a good assortment of trees, shrubs and flowers, meeting the high standards of the Workers' Party of Korea to turn all rural villages into a socialist wonderland.

This clearly shows the happiness and future of the Korean people. When new houses are offered free of charge by the state, everyone is thrilled, shouting and dancing joyfully. New home occupants try to beam, but tears keep welling up in their eyes. They dare not step in, though other push them inward.

You'd never sleep the night since you are so excited looking into the license to use the new dwelling. You'd be moved to tears of gratitude before you feel excited when you are allocated a new home in the DPRK.

Would there be a country where the leader worries about people's housing conditions, visits housing construction sites and congratulates the new houses occupants like the father of all the family across the country? You can find the country here in the DPRK led by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

Now the spring has become a season of both groundbreaking and completion ceremonies in the capital city as well as other parts of the country.

In fact, the capital city of Pyongyang every year sees the finished quotas of its planned 50,000-housing-unit construction project-10,000 housing units of Songhwa Avenue (March 2021-April 2022), 10,000 housing units of Hwasong Avenue (February 2022-April 2023), 10,000 housing units of Rimhung Avenue (February 2023-April 2024), and over 4,100 housing units of Jonwi Avenue (February 2023-May 2024), a grand crystallization of ambitions, ideals, loyalty and patriotism of the DPRK's young people.

Spectacular housewarmings can also be seen in other parts of the country. The new houses in the rural villages, reported every day through newspapers, radio and TV in the years 2023 and 2024, are now a common event in the life of the Korean people. So all days and months are full of news of new housewarmings across the land.

All the common recipients of new flats are all thankful to the WPK, physically feeling the miraculous reality unfolded by the loving care of the Party. So the song "Dear Father" and "We Are the Happiest in the World" is resounding in the new bright-lit homes everywhere.

Indeed, the sound of happy laughter of the people in the DPRK is an absolute criterion for the evaluation of national power and a symbol of the mightiness of Korean-style socialism. It is a stirring event to be seen only in socialist Korea, the people's country and people's world, under the leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who is creating a new history of great changes for the people whose ideals are being realized systematically.
