Today, in Juche Korea, world-startling miraculous victories are achieved in succession, attracting universal attention of the whole world.

All these victories gained by Korea amid the unimaginable difficulties and trials are not brought about by foreign aid or God but the achievement of Korean people themselves, which is the proud fruition of the wise leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea regarding the spiritual strength of its own people as the greatest power.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

"Resolving all the problems arising in the revolution and construction by relying on the masses of the people, the motive force of the revolution, and on their efforts is the WPK's traditional leadership method the great Comrades Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il created and applied."

It is a philosophical principle proved by the Workers' Party of Korea in practice of leading the revolution and construction along the road of victory for decades of years that the miracle-performing power is of one's own people, neither of others nor of God, and that epoch-making changes can be achieved only when the spiritual strength of them explodes.

Therefore, the Workers' Party of Korea firmly believes in its own people's power, their indomitable spiritual strength, in the struggle to realize the great aim and ideal of advancing towards socialism and communism, with all the unprecedented trials and ordeals surmounted. Herein it lies the secret of the Workers' Party of Korea demonstrating victories all the time in the limelight of the world.

First of all, the Workers' Party of Korea is overcoming all the difficulties relying on its own people, neither on others nor on any supernatural power, who always turn out staunchly when they get aware of the domestic situation.

People constitute the driving force of national development, and revolution and construction are conducted with each state and nation as a unit. Although development of the states concerned is influenced by several subjective and objective factors, the power of their own people can't be replaced by any other factors. A state with people displaying strenuous spirit and fighting capacity to make a way out for development, conscious of being the master of national development, can be considered certainly promising with a bright prospect of development, even though the circumstances are harsh and difficult at present.

The history of the Workers' Party of Korea is the one of trust pioneered and marked with victories by dint of firm belief in its own people.

President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il, who founded and built up the Workers' Party of Korea, believed in the people as in heaven and respected them as their teachers all their lives, cherishing the truth that one will always emerge victorious if he believes in the people and rely on them at all times while he will always fail if he is forsaken by them as the maxim of life and struggle throughout the whole period of their revolutionary leadership.

The whole life of the president was the one of field guidance in which he went among the people, reflected their will in lines and policies and solved all the problems relying on their strength. He used to sit knee to knee with farmers and illustrate a broad way of development, valuing even their simple opinions, and he kindled the flames of let-one-machine-tool-make-another movement when he heard the story of workers who had made lathes by themselves in a small local industrial factory.

In the period of the Arduous March, Chairman Kim Jong Il also declared resolutely that he would carry out the socialist cause of Juche believing in the people and relying on them, and went on his way into the masses. On that way, he unfolded an ambitious blueprint of the construction of a thriving nation, greatly inspired by the sincere voices of the working classes that they could overcome such trials even dozens of times as long as they were led by Chairman.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, the head of the Workers' Party of Korea, is the peerless great man who is creating a great history with the people, firmly believing in them like the great generalissimos.

We can get aware of how firmly the respected General Secretary is believing in our people, also, through his speech delivered in the military parade and public procession of Pyongyang Citizens in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Workers' Party of Korea.

In his speech, he said with stress that the history of the Workers' Party of Korea is the road people have advanced along, the Party's power is the people's power, the Party's greatness is the people's greatness and the Party's victory is the great Korean people's victory.

The Workers' Party of Korea has been able to carry forward revolution successfully, engraving victory and glory, without any deviation even in severe circumstances for over 70 years, just because our people have trusted the Party as the whole of their own destinies and have faithfully upheld the cause of the Party; this is the absolute belief in people and confidence of the respected General Secretary.

With such an absolute belief in people and confidence, the Workers' Party of Korea makes important determinations that no other party can even dare.

Next, the Workers' Party of Korea is accelerating the construction of the socialist thriving nation by firmly believing in and giving full play to the spiritual strength of its own people, who uphold the Party and the leader with true loyalty, before anything else.

The motive force of national development is the spiritual strength of the popular masses who drive it, not natural resources or treasure for all generations to come. Of course, the national economic strength and military power are great driving forces of national development. However, they get strengthened and influence on national development as important factors only when the people's spiritual strength is motivated.

If the objective conditions like economic strength and military power were main factors, Korean people couldn't have achieved proud victories in those two revolutionary wars and reconstruction struggles, two stages of social revolution and the socialist construction and laid out the foundation of the independent national economy and the invincible military power.

The Workers' Party of Korea has been able to perform numerous miracles any other parties cannot and is waging a vigorous struggle to achieve a far-reaching ambition, as it firmly believes in the spiritual strength of our people who absolutely trust and follow the Party.

To Korean people aspiring for building up the socialist thriving nation, it is an important requirement for achieving victory in this struggle to bring about an upturn in the national economy as early as possible. And, also, it is a critical condition for vigorously accelerating the construction of the socialist thriving nation, now that the aggressive moves of all the hostile forces including imperialists are increasing, to consolidate the national defense capabilities.
