It was one of the days in February, Juche 79 (1990).
That day, President
Pyon Ik Du was born in a poor family in the Thaechon, North Phyongan Province and was a servant who lived in humiliation and contempt from eight years old. For the record, His family lived as servants for three generations. But then he grew up to be a hero in the embrace of the President after the liberation.
On February 7, Juche 39(1950), the President gave him a chance to stand on the platform of the meeting to celebrate the army founding (at the time) and showed him faith to be a hero who killed 14 enemy soldiers with only 13 bullets in the battle of Mt. Songak and performed feats in various battles.
Later on, he shot down seven enemy planes and annihilated more than 200 enemy soldiers in more than 100 battles during the Fatherland Liberation War and he was given the title of Republic Hero and was sent to the World Festival of Youth and Students as a member of the DPRK delegate which is to be held in Berlin to fully display the spirit of heroic Korea.
Since then, decades have passed, and his name has been forgotten.
However, the President did not forget Pyon Ik Du, a war hero, and read the letter very carefully.
It was about her husband living in the countryside came to his son's house and became unconscious due to brain hemorrhage but she couldn't just bury him who became a hero but had not repaid for the love of him. So she dared to write the letter.
After reading the letter, the President gave a phone call to a senior official and told him to save him by any possible means. He said that there should take actions before we lose him. Also, he told him that he was away that he couldn't visit him, and they should take every possible measures.
The President gave detailed tasks for treatment. He told him to report to him about the patient's condition.
Emergency measures were taken immediately.
Medical workers took first aid and decided to treat him at home as he couldn't be sent to hospital right away.
Receiving the report, the President sincerely asked to treat him well and save him without fail.
Eventually, it worked a miracle.
The hero, who was at the crossroads of life and death, came to life again in nine days thanks to the fatherly love.
Upon receiving the report, the President was very glad to hear the news and took other possible measures once again to completely get over.
Hero Pyon Ik Du, who recovered his health and was informed the warm love of the President from his family, shed tears and said, "What am I to receive such great love of the President? I should give thanks to him that I have become a hero."
It is not only the confession of Pyon Ik Du alone.
