An aggregation method for solving problems of multicriteria decision making using ordered weighted averaging operators and generalized mixture operators

 2025.10.1.

The research group of the faculty of Electronics and Automation in Kim Il Sung University proposed a methodology to solve the MCDM problem by combining TOPSIS, VIKOR, COPRAS and WASPAS methods among the most widely used methods in the solution of multicriteria decision making problems, and confirmed the validity and effectiveness of the proposed approach through the renewable energy resource evaluation problem.

The solution results of the Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) problem are influenced by various factors, including the standard weight determination method, the standardization method of the decision making matrix, the aggregating method of the standard weight and standardization results.

Therefore, changes in standard weighing methods, standardization methods, and synthesis methods are all causing changes in the structure and applicability of MCDM problems, constantly improving and completing.

There is no MCDM method that can be said to be the most appropriate for solving a professional decision making problem, and hence, various methods are often applied in combination to make a correct decision.

The paper adopts the method of regular incremental monotone (RIM) quantifier as the criteria weight determination method, with simple input information and flexible response to reality.

In addition, we propose a method to aggregate the results according to different normalization methods in individual MCDM methods using the OWA operator.

It is also possible to obtain the final conclusion by aggregating the evaluation results by various MCDM methods with a generalized mixture operator.

The feasibility of the proposed method in the paper has been confirmed through renewable energy assessment issues.
