Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un and President Xi Jinping Enjoy Grand Mass Gymnastics and Artistic Performance

Pyongyang, June 21 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), together with Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and president of the People's Republic of China (PRC), enjoyed the grand mass gymnastics and artistic performance "Invincible Socialism" on Thursday evening.

When the Supreme Leader of the Party, state and armed forces of the DPRK and his wife Ri Sol Ju, together with President Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan, appeared on the platform of honor in the May Day Stadium, all the performers and audience warmly welcomed the top leaders of the two countries.

Kim Jong Un and Xi Jinping warmly waved back to the enthusiastically cheering masses.

Children presented bouquets to Kim Jong Un and Ri Sol Ju, Xi Jinping and Peng Liyuan.

Among the audience were Choe Ryong Hae, Pak Pong Ju and Kim Jae Ryong, leading officials of the Party and the government, officials of the armed forces organs, ministries and national institutions and citizens in Pyongyang.

Ding Xuexiang, Yang Jiechi, Wang Yi, He Lifeng, Song Tao and other entourage members of the Chinese side, members of the Chinese embassy here, Chinese guests and students here also enjoyed the performance.

Amid the playing of the song "DPRK-China Friendship Will Be Immortal", the national flags of the two countries were hoisted.

The performers artistically represented the glorious development course and history of the heroic struggle of the DPRK which has emerged as a socialist state independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in defence, winning great victories and bringing about epoch-making changes under the leadership of the WPK with the peerlessly great men held in high esteem.

Prestigious art troupes put on the stage such Chinese songs as "No New China without Communist Party", "We Sing of Motherland", "I Love Thee, China", "New World", "The Fluttering Red Flag", which impressively represented the thoughts and feelings of the Chinese people who are achieving the prosperity of the Chinese nation under the guidance of the CPC.

Displayed by the background stand were pictures of historic significance showing deep comradely trust and friendship which was forged by the leaders of the elder generations of the two countries and is being steadily carried forward by the top leaders of the parties of the two countries.

Friendly feeling swept the stadium amid the peculiar display of Chinese folk dances and welcome dances and letters "Long Live the Invincible Friendship and Unity between the Peoples of the DPRK and China!"

Fireworks were displayed at the end of the performance.

Kim Jong Un, together with Xi Jinping, warmly waved back to the performers and audience.

Floral baskets were presented to the performers.

Kim Jong Un and Ri Sol Ju, together with Xi Jinping and Peng Liyuan, went down to the stage to congratulate the performers on their successful performance. -0-
