우리는 신의주생물군으로 명명된 평안북도 신의주시 백토동, 련상1동지구에 분포되여있는 중생대 백악기하세층인 신의주주층에서 수십종에 달하는 곤충의 신종화석들을 발견하였다.
신의주생물군에서 발견된 대표적인 곤충의 신종화석들은 다음과 같다.
